Our investment philosophy
We believe that the economy is operated by people who are mostly rational. This means that a certain stimulus or measurable trend has a given forseeable effect. Based on this conviction, we look for measurable relationships and trends in the market where we can connect a cause and effect. We view connections between such relationships as paradigms.
Through our analysis we aim to learn how these paradigms form and evolve and use that understanding for developing an investment thesis. In that process, we utilize a quantamental approach, applying a combination of quantitative analysis through statistical models with fundamental analysis as an overlay.
Our goal is to combine human creative thinking and insight with the power and precision of technology, getting the best of both worlds.
The investment strategy of Adaptive Paradigm Alpha is currently managed in a sub-threshold AIF, having generated 9.18% annualized returns and a sharpe ratio of 3.29 since 2020-01-01 to 2022-06-30.
Our history
In 2018, Adaptive’s founder Alexander Hyll noted that most of the hedge funds in Sweden were not set up to deliver what hedge funds originally were intended to do: manage risk.
Having developed an investment strategy in the mangement of his own family office, Adaptive Hedge Fund Management was founded with the vision of offering investors a variety of hedge funds that fill specific functions in their overall portfolio.
Our first public fund Adaptive Paradigm Alpha will launch in Q3 2022. It is based on the same investment strategy as the the sub-threshold AIF-fund managed successfully in the period 2020-2022, with the objective to offer investors uncorrelated returns, high downside protection and strong risk adjusted returns.
